Intro to the Art of Woodturning
with Tyler Smith
Experience Level: Beginner, no prior experience needed
Monday April 27-Wednesday April 29, 6-8pm (3 sessions)
Ages 18+ (Please contact us at dsegerstrom@paramountarts.org if you have a younger student interested in participating)
Experience wood-turning as you learn to safely experiment with a variety of wood chisels to create simple cuts and beginner level bowl turning techniques!
Create a top, bud vase, and a beautiful bowl with the step-by-step guidance of an experienced turner!
All materials to create class projects are included in the cost of tuition

Art Club is a free creative and social activity, helping artists with disabilities and all abilities find success in artistic exploration. Artists will self-select, bring supplies, and work through their own projects, at their own pace, while benefiting from the collective creativity of others in the space. Meet other people who are interested and excited about art!
Feel free to paint, draw, sculpt, fiber arts such as sewing, knitting, crocheting, coloring, jewelry making and more! Please make sure your materials do not require additional ventilation. Artwork created onsite should be family friendly.

Art Appreciation Class: Exploring 20th Century Art
with Lynn Metcalf
Experience Level: Beginner, no prior experience needed
Wednesdays April 29-May 6, 10am-Noon (2 sessions)
Ages 18+
Join art historian Lynn Metcalf for this two part exciting exploration of 20th Century works in this continuation of Fall 2025's class! (Please note that you do not need to have taken the Fall class to enjoy this experience!)
Lynn presents a brilliant snapshot of incredible artists who created during this timeframe, while also detailing the social, political, and historic backdrop in which these artists were working! Through storytelling and imagery you will be immersed in the fascinating world of these artists and their works, all at a comfortable pace.
Join us for this wonderful exploration of art!

Introduction to Printmaking

Step into the creative world of printmaking in this beginner-friendly experience, led by artist Amy Holweger! Whether you're completely new to the medium or looking to refresh your skills, this class offers a supportive and inspiring environment to explore the fundamentals of relief printmaking.
Using a variety of tools and techniques, Amy will help safely guide you to a successful carving and then exciting the process of inking and pulling your prints!
Once dry, these pieces are perfect for making cards or framing!
And you will take your carved block home, which can be used to create additional pieces on your own! Join us!
Materials to create one print block, along with inks for use during class, included in the cost of tuition.
Rosemaling Plates
with Patti Goke
Experience Level: Beginner, no prior experience needed

Explore the exciting world of traditional rosemaling with professional artist and Vesterheim Gold Medalist Patti Goke!
Rosemaling is a decorative style of painting, traditionally on wood, utilizing beautiful elements of Norwegian folk art. Patti will walk the class through holding your brush and techniques on successfully creating three different designs, with a variety of brush strokes!
Please note that designs may vary from photograph.
All materials to create one plate included in the cost of tuition.
Mosaic Jewelry: Create a Mosaic Pendant
with Terri Hess
Experience Level: Beginner, no prior experience needed
Tuesday May 19, 6-9pm (1 session)
Ages 18+ (Please contact us at dsegerstrom@paramountarts.org if you have a younger student interested in participating)
Create beautiful one of a kind jewelry using the small pieces of glass set into designs of your choosing, a process called mosaic!
Terri will guide through the process of safely cutting and assembling glass into the jewelry bezel. Once you are happy with your design you will learn how to grout your piece! Once dried, you will have a piece as unique as you, perfect for yourself or as a gift for a loved one!
Please note that students will need to allow their glue to dry and then grout at home. Don't worry! We will show you how to grout, send the materials, and instructions for success!
