Beginning Woodworking: The Joy of Woodworking
with Mark Voigt
Experience Level: Introductory, No prior experience needed
January 6, 8, 20, 22, 6-9pm (4 sessions)
Ages 18+
In this class, you will learn how to safely use the Jointer, Table Saw, Band Saw, Planer, Router and various sanders.
You will create a small woodworking project while learning safe operating skills with these basic woodworking machines.
Elements of joinery, design, wood selection and finishing will be part of your hands on woodworking experience.
Materials are included in the cost of tuition, a tool list will be shared closer to the class start date
Level Up Quilts
with Caron Lage
Experience Level: Intermediate, some prior experience recommended
Every Other Tuesday, January 6-February 3, 6-8:30pm (3 sessions)

Expand your quilting vocabulary with some applique!
This 3 part class will more firmly establish your roots in basic piecing, and demonstrate multiple options for adding the next level of quilting skills – simple applique.
Plus an overview of the All By Myself quilt as you go method for completing quilts.
Supply List for Level Up Class
Sewing machine in good working order.
Rotary cutting equipment – cutting mat, rotary cutter, rulers – these will be most helpful – 6” x 24”, Larger square.
Favorite notions – extra machine needles, extra bobbins, scissors, seam ripper. Coordinating thread.
Fabric for Argyle
Gray - 2 yards
Purple - 1 ½ yards
Aquas - I used a variety for interest and depth – 10 fat quarters, or 5 half yards, or
2 yards of one fabric
Binding - there is plenty leftover in the gray to make binding, or ½ yard
Batting - 64” x 52”
Backing - 3 yards
All By Myself quilt as you go method needs – there is enough extra yardage in the backing fabric to make matching tubes. If you want tubes to contrast with backing fabric add 1/3 yard.
Pattern available in class.

An Introduction to Watercolors

Designed for absolute beginners, this class dives into the wonderful world of watercolors.
Using introductory watercolor techniques, Anita will guide you through the elements of creating a successful painting!
Materials to create one piece in class are included in the cost of tuition!
Pottery Sampler

Experience Level: Beginner, no prior experience needed
Saturday January 24, 10am-12:30pm (1 session)

This is the perfect class for your first time exploring the pottery wheel! Get a feel for working with clay as you create a very simple vessel, with the full guidance of your instructor every step of the way!
This sampler class will touch on several topics including centering your clay on the wheel, pulling walls, creating simple forms, and glazing.
Students will create a small simple cylinder and will underglaze paint their own designs and colors!
All materials included to create up to two pieces
*Please note that work created in this class will need to air dry and then be fired a kiln, a process that may take three to four weeks total.
The Paramount will send an email when work is ready to be collected!
Make a Charcuterie Board or Cheese Slicer
with Andrew Cockcroft
Experience Level: No prior experience required
Monday January 26, 6-9pm (1 session)
Ages 18+
In this course you will take a raw piece of wood and finish it during the class and leave with a charcuterie board or cheese slicer board.
You will sand it with an orbital sander until it is smooth and then, if you wish to add handles, to drill holes to install the handles and finally oil the board.
There will also be cheese slicer boards available to make which include the hardware that you will assemble and finally add feet to the boards.
There will be a selection of wood available to choose from in various sizes, including walnut, maple, oak and cherry.

Pottery Cohort
with Dave Glenn
Experience Level: Intermediate and advanced level throwing techniques discussed in class,prior experience is required. (Must be able to center clay and throw basic cylinders)
Every Other Monday, January 26-May 18, 2026, 6-8:30pm (9 sessions total)

Students will help create their own pottery adventure as they guide the class curriculum through exploration of variety of intermediate and advanced-level pottery forms; unique throwing techniques, altering forms, and surface decoration.
On the weeks that there is no class, we welcome and encourage students to work independently in the studio to create work.
Participation in cone 10 gas kiln firings is an optional element of this class, for an additional firing fee!
Students must be able to throw basic cylinders.

4.) Clay: Your first bag of clay is included in the cost of tuition, but depending on the size and number of pieces you create you may need to purchase more. We have a variety to choose from, ranging in price from $15-$35 for a 25 pound bag.
